The Seed will be managed by GL Events, which offers a complete range of event industry solutions such as venue management and event Organization, integrated Services for trade fairs, conventions and events.
GL Events Turkey Board Member Orhan Sanus presented his appreciation to the Sakip Sabanci Museum management for giving an opportunity to manage the Seed at a conference held on June 16th; followed by a cocktail.
Orhan Sanus, who was the former General Manager of Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre (ICEC), said, “If Istanbul has a claim to be a leading city in the world, it needs to have special venues that can host conventions and congresses as well as cultural events. It also needs to have a structure that holds an international portfolio for planning and organizing events at those venues. Within this perspective, GL Events with its know-how, experience, and power will share its expertise with the local industry by using GL Events – Turkey team”.
GL Events France General Manager Olivier Moyse said “Turkey is always an important country for us that we esteem and examine closely. The reason for making an investment despite the economical crisis is for its high potential in the meetings industry after implementing some work at infrastructure”. Moyse added that GL Events will continue investments in Turkey. Following Istanbul, the company is planning to manage a venue in the capital; Ankara.
The Seed has a 300 pax capacity multi purpose hall. It is constructed on a total of 1700 sqm area that can accommodate 800 pax banquet style, 1100 pax as cocktail style. It has 335sqm open air area with Bosphorus view and 200 sqm indoor area – a total of 600 sqm foyer.
The Seed is 35 kilometres to Ataturk International Airport, 4 kilometres to highway, and 500 meters to the Emirgan port.
