Meeting and Greeting
Upon arrival at Istanbul Atatürk airport, guests are met after passing the customs area by Parasol Travel's operation staff who will then assist them to the coaches ready by the exit. All staff members will be specially uniformed (On request) and will carry related signage.
Transportation and Luggage Handling
Luggage has to be identified by each guest in customs area. Following the entry procedures at the customs, the guests will be escorted to the transportation vehicles and welcomed there by professional, English speaking (Or requested languages) guides who will accompany them to their hotel. Parasol Travel's staff will handle the portage and supervise the luggage van (If requested). During the ride to the hotel, the guides will give explanations about the city and a brief description of the program. The guests will also have a chance to get a glimpse of the principal monuments and the general panaroma of Istanbul.
On request, girls wearing traditional costumes can be provided to offer Turkish delight to the guests before boarding their vehicles. Additionally, refreshments can be served on board during the ride.
Vehicle Types
All vehicles are air-conditioned deluxe vehicles with specially trained drivers who has the knowledge of the industry. Coaches : Mercedes 304 and 403 Mid-size vehicles : Mercedes Sprinter minibus ideal for 4-8 persons Midibus for 15 persons Limousines : Different models are available including Mercedes 300SEL, Cadillac Silverhawk or Fleetwood.
Hospitality Desk at Hotels
Upon request, a hospitality desk can be provided in a convenient place of the hotel with easy access to the guests, generally in the lobby area. Operation hours of the hospitality desk will be set according to the program, usually before tour departure times and at return hours. In case of any day-time activities in the hotel, the desk will remain open; also during any optional activities, an English speaking staff member will be on duty during fixed hours.
Besides showing the day's activities on the information board the following services will be offered :
Upon arrival, the room keys will be distributed from the desk
A record of the rooming-list with eventual changes will be kept
General information about the city, details of the sightseeing tours, explanation about the theme parties will be provided
Personal requests such as dining, shopping, sightseeing etc. will be handled
Information on hotel's services will be provided
The presence of a Desk Representative from the organizing company is left to client's discretion; in any case, Parasol Hospitality Desk Staff will ensure that good communication is ensured between the guests and the travel executives.

On request, Parasol Travel will be happy to make suggestions about various room gift ideas which are typical to Turkey.

Meerschaum pipe in original box : Carving pipes out of the natural material meerschaum has a long tradition in Turkey. Already in Ottoman times these pipes were wellknown all over the world. It is said that the"meerschaum" absorbes nikotine very well.
